Thanksgiving Bookmarks (Craft For Kids)

Thanksgiving Bookmarks

Fun Pilgrim and Native American Printable Bookmarks

Thanksgiving is such a cozy time of year, filled with traditions, family gatherings, and, of course, lots of creativity!

Last year, I created these cute Turkey Bookmarks, and they were such a hit that I thought, why not make more designs for this holiday?

So, I created these Thanksgiving bookmarks with Pilgrim and Native American characters.

They’re easy to make, so there’s no frustration, but they’re still interesting enough to keep kids occupied while the adults prepare a meal.

Crafting them involves cutting, folding, and gluing. All excellent activities to strengthen kids’ fine motor skills.

These bookmarks are also a fun way to introduce Thanksgiving history. This holiday is more than just turkey and pie (though we all love those!). It’s about reflecting on history, coming together, and being thankful.

I included Pilgrim and Native American characters, which can open the door for some gentle, age-appropriate discussions about Thanksgiving traditions and history.

And that’s not all! Kids can use these bookmarks in their favorite Thanksgiving-themed books, making reading a fun part of the holiday, too.

Plus, they double as unique decorations that kids can proudly display or share with family members as little Thanksgiving gifts.

In this post, I’ll show you how easy they are to make and why they’re such a fantastic Thanksgiving craft for kids.

You’ll also learn how to get these templates in just a few clicks!

Before you dive into the crafting fun, here’s what you’ll need to make these Thanksgiving corner bookmarks:

  • Printable Templates (get them here or at the end of this post)
  • Scissors (kids’ safety scissors are ideal)
  • Glue Stick
  • Ruler (optional; it makes folding straight edges easier)
  • Paper and Printer

How To Make The Thanksgiving Bookmarks

Step 1: Print the Templates

First, get the templates here and print them.

I recommend printing on regular printer paper so the bookmarks are easy to fold.

Step 2: Cut Out Each Character

Once the templates are printed, kids can cut out their characters.

If you’re working with younger kids, you may want to help them with cutting or pre-cut the shapes for them.

Step 3: Fold and Glue the Corners

After cutting, it’s time to fold and glue the pieces:
