This year we are celebrating the first day of autumn with this free printable Fall I Spy game.
It is perfect for getting kids excited about the new season while working on a variety of skills.
From counting and concentration to visual tracking and discrimination, your children will have lots of fun coloring all the cute fall pictures and developing crucial abilities.
Besides all the skills mentioned above, you can also use this game to help your kids improve language, vocabulary, and speech by sounding out the names of the items they find and talking about them (ask, what color is it? Where can you find that? What do you like about it? How many could you find?).
And if your kids are old enough, you can even extend this activity by asking them to write a short paragraph about one of the fall objects in this printable.
There are so many things to chose from, as I included many different leaves, pumpkins, corns, acorns, and more.
I recommend using this I Spy with preschoolers, kindergarteners, and first graders. Though, anyone who likes search and finds will enjoy this game.
You can use it in the classroom, at home, during a road trip, or in a waiting room to distract your kids. It is just perfect for any kind of situation where you need a quick and fun fall-themed activity.

How To Play Fall I Spy
Playing Fall I Spy is easy. All you have to do is download the free printable at the end of this post and print it on regular A4 white paper. You can also print on a different paper size by selecting Fit Page on your printer settings.
If you plan to reuse this game, it may also be helpful for you to laminate each page and use washable markers for the next step.
Invite your kids to find and color the pictures listed on top of the page with coloring pencils or crayons.
Then, you can have them count how many objects of the same type there are and write the number on the line (also at the top of the game).
TIP: If you are playing with young kids, make them paint each type of item with a different color so they can count easily.
