Materials
- Scarecrow Paper Plate Template (download it at the end of this post)
- White cardstock
- Printer
- Small Paper Plate
- Tempera or acrylic paint
- Paintbrush
- Scissors
- Glue stick
Instructions
- Paint your paper plate with tempera or acrylic paint. You can use any color you want, but I recommend using pastels (just add a bit of white to any color you have).
This time, we used pastel pink tempera paint and only needed 1 layer.
- While your paper plate dries, download the scarecrow template. Print it on white cardstock and cut out all the pieces.
- Glue the smile at the bottom of the paper plate.
- Add the eyes above the mouth.
- Stick the triangular nose between the eyes.
- Glue three yellow strips onto each side of your paper plate to make the hair.
- Glue the hat on top of the paper plate over the hair.
- Finish your scarecrow by gluing the sunflower onto the hat.
Hay there! Aren’t these scarecrows scary-cute?
